Jaipur Artists, This One's for You: The Rebel Crowd Wants to Take Your Art Across India

Jaipur is full of artists. The problem has never been talent. It's been finding your people.

The Rebel Crowd (TRC) wants to fix that. It's building what it calls a travelling cultural network, connecting artists across India through art, collaboration and community, and it's just put out a call to Jaipur.

Who it's looking for

Basically, everyone with a creative streak:

• Poets

• Musicians and instrumentalists

• Rappers

• Dancers

• Theatre artists

• Folk performers

• Visual artists

• Storytellers

TRC's pitch is short and sweet: meet artists, find collaborators and take your art beyond boundaries. No matter your art form, it says, there's a place for you.

Why this kind of network matters

Most artists in smaller cities hit the same wall. You can build a following at local open mics, but getting to the next stage means knowing people elsewhere, and that usually means moving to Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru.

A travelling network flips that. Instead of the artist going to the big city, the community moves between cities and brings collaborators with it. For a city like Jaipur, which has an incredible mix of folk traditions and new-age creators, that's a big deal.

We saw the same energy with SHIFT, Jaipur's creative festival, which mixes block printing with stand-up and Kalbeliya with bachata. Jaipur's creative scene is clearly having a moment.

How to join

Registration is open through the link in TRC's Instagram bio. And the group has a simple request: tag an artist from Jaipur who needs to see this.

So go on. You know that friend who writes poetry in their Notes app and never shows anyone? Tag them. This one's their sign.
