Nine hours. Desi sounds. Festive fits. A dancefloor.

That's the pitch for Raya's Roof Diwali Party at HyLo, and if you're the kind of person who treats Diwali week as a marathon rather than a sprint, this one's for you.

The details

  • What: Raya's Roof Diwali Party, in collaboration with Raya's Roof

  • Where: HyLo, Mumbai

  • When: 7 November 2026

  • Length: nine hours of music

  • Dress code: kurtas, sarees, jhumkas or your own take on festive dressing

  • Tickets: link in HyLo's Instagram bio

  • Line-up: to be announced soon

The vibe

HyLo describes it as a little tradition, a lot of mischief. Translation: expect a crowd dressed like they're heading to a sangeet, then dancing like they've forgotten they're dressed for one.

Why desi nights are winning

Mumbai's party scene has gone through every phase: techno, house, Afrobeats and back again. But desi nights keep coming back, and Diwali is when they peak. There's something about hearing a classic Bollywood track at full volume in a kurta, surrounded by friends, that no other genre quite matches.

Our tips

  • Pace yourself. Nine hours is a lot. Hydrate between the bangers.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. Juttis look great. They are not built for hour seven.

  • Watch for the line-up. HyLo says it's dropping soon, and that's usually when tickets start moving fast.

In Pune instead? Maushi's Dilwali Diwali is on 6 November.

Happy Diwali, Mumbai. See you on the dancefloor.
