Hanuman Ansh OTT Release Date: When and Where to Watch the Surprise Blockbuster on Neem Karoli Baba
If you want proof that word of mouth still rules Indian cinema, here it is.
Hanuman Ansh opened to almost nothing. Reportedly around ₹10 lakh on day one. Most films with an opening like that vanish by the second Friday. This one didn't. It kept going, then kept growing, and ran in theatres for more than 90 days.
And now it's coming home.

The box office story is wild
Okay, this is why everyone's talking about it.
The film released in cinemas on 7 August 2026 and was reportedly made on a tiny budget, around ₹2 crore. Early numbers were small. Then from the third week, word of mouth kicked in and families started coming.
Trade trackers now put its worldwide total at well over ₹400 crore. The exact number varies depending on who you ask, and these are trade estimates rather than certified figures, so treat any single number with care. But by any count, this is one of the biggest surprise hits of the year.
My take
No stars. No massive marketing. No big opening. Just a story that people kept telling each other about. That's the most old-school success story in Indian cinema, and honestly, it's beautiful to see it still happen in 2026.
If you missed it in theatres, 27 November is the date. Set the reminder.
