From Cafe Worker to Producer: Vikrant Massey Reflects on His Full-Circle Journey with 'Musafir Cafe'
National Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey is embarking on a significant new phase in his career. Beyond taking on diverse acting roles, Massey is stepping into production with Musafir Cafe, the inaugural project under his new production banner, Homemade Stories. For the actor, launching this series is more than just a business milestone—it marks a deeply personal full-circle moment.

A 22-Year Evolution in the Industry
Reflecting on his journey from working at a local cafe during his early hustle to now producing a show titled Musafir Cafe, Massey shared his gratitude for how far he has come over the last two decades:
"I think God’s been really kind, to be honest... Earning a lakh rupees a month used to be the benchmark—the sign that you’d finally settled. From that point to doing what I love most—telling stories—and now contributing beyond just acting, I couldn't ask for more. I’m deeply grateful to the audience. It’s been 22 years, and they are still cheering for me and silently rooting for my success."
Empowering the Next Generation of Talent
While Massey remains dedicated to his acting career, launching Homemade Stories stems from a drive to build a platform for aspiring creatives who need a breakthrough moment, much like he once did.

"I won't necessarily act in all my productions. In whatever capacity I can, I want to create doors for the next generation of talent—for all the young 'Vikrants' out there who just need someone to give them a shot. There is so much untapped potential waiting to be seen."
By championing new voices behind and in front of the camera, Musafir Cafe signals an exciting new era for Vikrant Massey—one focused on shaping compelling narratives both on screen and behind the scenes.
