None of that diminishes the work. Sabyasachi's bridal grammar genuinely reshaped how Indian weddings look. Manish Malhotra's influence on how Hindi cinema dresses is close to total. Anita Dongre's Grassroot line and Amit Aggarwal's structural, recycled-material work are both doing things nobody else in the country is doing. The point is narrower: the ordering reflects distribution and recall, and it is worth knowing that when you read it.
