Sudha Chandran remains one of Indian screen's most respected performers, and her presence in Gudhal is one of the film's clearer signals of intent. Chandran has built a career on roles that demand both gravitas and vulnerability, qualities that line up directly with what Gudhal's story requires. A film about parents abandoned inside institutions that promise safety and deliver something far crueller needs an actor capable of carrying that weight without overplaying it. Alongside Mona Ambegaonkar, Shahbaz Khan, Pooja Singh and Sunita Rajwar, Chandran rounds out an ensemble chosen for restraint over spectacle.
