Human pyramid building just got its first ever runway moment. The Pro Govinda League unveiled its Season 4 team jerseys through a fashion show built around Independence Day, merging haute couture with a sport most people only associate with Dahi Handi.

A Sport Meets The Runway

The event centred on a bespoke runway performance choreographed by Vahbiz Mehta, where team captains walked in their official jerseys alongside franchise owners wearing exclusive team-inspired jackets designed by Rachit Ajmera. Rather than treating the jerseys as plain sportswear, each design was built to carry local motifs and regional heritage specific to its city, turning a kit reveal into a genuine piece of cultural storytelling.

The Pyramid Of Unity

The evening's centrepiece was a symbolic human pyramid built by all sixteen team captains and franchise owners together, framed as a tribute to Independence Day and described by the league as a representation of trust, synergy and collective strength. PGL President Purvesh Sarnaik called it a monument to mutual support, tying the sport's traditional emphasis on teamwork directly to the occasion the show was built around.

16 Franchises, One Championship

Season 4 brings together sixteen city based franchises and more than 3,000 athletes, spanning teams like the Delhi Eagles, Bangalore Blazers, Nagpur Ninjas, Goa Surfers, Jaipur Kings, Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders and more, giving the league a genuinely national footprint rather than a regional niche. The launch event was attended by league officials including Bittu Boss, alongside sports enthusiasts and dignitaries, adding to the momentum already building around the season.

Where The League Goes From Here

The jersey reveal lands just after cricketing star Suryakumar Yadav was announced as the league's official Brand Ambassador, giving Season 4 a level of mainstream star power the sport hasn't had before. The full championship, culminating in the grand finale at the SVP Dome, NSCI, in Worli, Mumbai, will stream live on JioHotstar, meaning a sport built on standardised rules and safety protocols developed over four seasons is now positioned for a genuinely national broadcast audience.
