Prabhas has four films in the pipeline and release dates for exactly two of them. Fauzi lands on 3 December 2026 and Spirit is set for March 2027, while Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 is shooting without a date and Salaar: Part 2 has not properly started.

Fauzi, 3 December 2026
The only fully locked film on the slate. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is a period war drama set in the 1940s across the British Raj and the Second World War, centred on the Azad Hind Fauj, with Prabhas as an army officer. It carries the tagline A Battalion Who Fights Alone.
Debutant Imanvi plays the female lead, with Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada in the cast. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, with a reported budget in the region of 600 to 700 crore rupees. The film was announced on Prabhas' birthday in 2023, and a first-look teaser has been anticipated around 15 August 2026.
Spirit, March 2027
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's first film with Prabhas, and his first since Animal. Prabhas plays a police officer, with Triptii Dimri as the female lead. Filming has been progressing in Hyderabad, with the production targeting a wrap in roughly 95 shooting days. Bollywood Hungama lists the release as 5 March 2027.
Vanga has said the character carries an intensity he considers unprecedented, which is the kind of line that means very little until the first teaser arrives. Treat it as intent rather than information.
Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2, shooting, no date
Principal photography began on 2 February 2026 under Nag Ashwin. The team started with Kamal Haasan's portions and has since brought Amitabh Bachchan onto the shoot, filming substantial sections before Prabhas joined. He returns as Bhairava, with the sequel expected to push deeper into the Karna material that the first film set up.
Kalki 2898 AD grossed over 1,000 crore rupees worldwide, so the sequel is not in question. The date is. Current reporting points at 2027 or 2028, and there is no announced release.

Salaar: Part 2, not yet on floors
This is the one the slate coverage keeps counting and shouldn't, at least not yet. Prashanth Neel returns to the Khansaar story with Prithviraj Sukumaran, continuing Deva's arc after Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, which grossed over 600 crore rupees worldwide.
Some scenes have been shot. Regular filming is expected to begin only once Neel wraps the NTR Jr film Dragon, which puts a realistic start in late 2026 or 2027 and a release around 2028. Four years after Part 1.
The pile-up nobody is calling a pile-up
The framing around this slate is that Prabhas is being patient and selective, taking few films and letting each one breathe. Look at the calendar and the opposite is happening. Fauzi in December 2026, Spirit in March 2027, and Kalki 2 expected after that puts three large-scale releases inside roughly sixteen months.
That is the busiest run of his career, and it follows an unusually thin stretch. His last release was The Raja Saab in January 2026. The gaps between Prabhas films have never been a strategy so much as a consequence of what these productions cost in time. Four films at this scale running in parallel means schedules that collide, and both Kalki 2 and Salaar 2 are currently waiting on other people's calendars rather than on his.
None of that is a criticism of the choices. Working with Hanu Raghavapudi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Nag Ashwin and Prashanth Neel across a war drama, a cop thriller, mythological science fiction and an action saga is genuine range on paper. But the accurate description of this slate is a logjam clearing, not a long game. Two dates are real. Two are intentions.
