Khushi Kapoor Is Now a Co-Founder of nailinit. Here's Who She's Building It With
Here's the part I love: she's not the "face" of the brand. She's a co-founder.
Khushi Kapoor has officially joined nailinit, an Indian press-on nail brand, as Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer. And from what's been shared, this isn't a "sign the contract, post three Reels" situation.

What she's actually been doing
According to the brand, Khushi has been hands-on with:
Product development: vendor selection, design calls, even research into the adhesive on the press-ons, so they actually stay on
New products, like a cuticle oil and proper instructions for prepping, applying and removing the nails
Design collections, campaigns and communication
Conversations about manufacturing, sourcing, warehousing and team building
That last bit is the giveaway. Ambassadors don't sit in warehousing meetings.
In her words, it's about "building something I genuinely believed in."
The slumber party that got 25,000 applications
Before the announcement, Khushi hosted a slumber party in Alibaug for a handpicked group to try the products. She opened applications to her Instagram followers, and the invite reportedly got around 25,000 applications. For a sleepover. About nails. That's community, babe.
The other founders
nailinit was founded by Shubham Singhal and Tanishq Ambegaokar, and it's Mumbai-based. They pitch it as a "community-first" nail brand for Gen Z and millennials, treating nails as a canvas for identity and self-expression.
The money behind it:
A pre-seed round of around ₹2.5 crore to ₹3 crore, reported in February 2026
Led by Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund and Marsshot VC
Angels from Razorpay, Meta, Accel, The Whole Truth and more
Where you can find it: Zepto, Blinkit and Amazon.
Why this is a smart move
The celebrity-founder model in Indian beauty is crowded now. What makes it work, or not, is whether the star actually cares. Press-on nails are a fit for Khushi in a way a random skincare line might not be. Fashion and styling have long been a big part of how she shows up online.
And nails are made for social media. They're quick to change, easy to photograph and endlessly shareable. A brand that sells on quick commerce in 10 minutes and gets posted in 10 seconds? That's the 2026 playbook.
Khushi was also spotted at Bombay Times Fashion Week last weekend. Busy week.
