The legendary actor champions eco-conscious action among students while promoting his upcoming film, The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman.

In celebration of World Environment Week, veteran actor Jackie Shroff doubled down on his commitment to environmental sustainability through Mitti Ki Awaaz—an initiative aimed at empowering the younger generation to take charge of the planet's future.

The second edition of the movement took place at DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai. During the event, Shroff not only urged students to actively plant trees and protect the environment but also promoted his upcoming feature, The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman. The film carries a core thematic message urging audiences to preserve nature and protect our planet.

Empowerment Through Action: Involving the Youth

Jackie Shroff, well-known for his passion for green initiatives and his signature habit of gifting plant saplings, emphasized that long-term change requires direct youth involvement rather than passive awareness.

“The responsibility of a greener future belongs to the youth, and ‘tomorrow’ must be shaped with them,” stated Jackie Shroff. “The youth of today has to be aware of the environment they are living in—and Mitti Ki Awaaz brings an initiative that actively involves the younger faces, not just talks to them.”

Sustainable Event Planning & Sapling Drives

The event practice matched its message by implementing multiple eco-friendly, low-waste measures across its planning and production stages. Students served as active collaborators, volunteers, and participants to drive the initiative forward.

To turn dialogue into tangible impact, event organizers partnered with Heartfulness to launch dedicated sapling plantation drives across the region, cementing Mitti Ki Awaaz as a growing, action-oriented movement.
