Bollywood Festival Norway Marks 25 Years With Mika Singh Concert, Qawwali Night and Bollywood Dance, September 4–10, 2026

Bollywood Festival Norway, the country's dedicated Indian dance, music and film festival, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with a week-long lineup running from September 4 to 10, 2026, spread across three venues: Lørenskog Hus-Kino, Klingenberg Kino in Oslo, and Lillestrøm Kultursenter.
Marking a quarter-century milestone, the 2026 edition brings together a mix of new and classic Indian films, along with performances spanning classical and Bollywood dance traditions. The festival's musical centerpiece this year is a live concert by playback singer Mika Singh, known for chart-topping Bollywood hits and a reputation as one of the industry's most energetic live performers. Alongside the concert, the festival will also host a dedicated Qawwali Night, bringing the devotional and soulful musical form to Norwegian audiences.
Now firmly established as one of the more significant Indian cultural events in Scandinavia, Bollywood Festival Norway has built its reputation over 25 years as a platform connecting the Indian diaspora across Norway with contemporary and classic Bollywood culture, while also introducing local Norwegian audiences to Indian cinema, music and dance traditions. The festival's growth to three distinct venues across the Oslo region, from Lørenskog to Lillestrøm, reflects its expanding reach beyond a single-city event into a broader regional cultural fixture.
With a milestone anniversary, a headline concert, and programming spanning both classic and contemporary Indian cinema, the 2026 edition looks set to be one of the festival's most ambitious yet. Further details and updates are available at bollywoodfest.com.
