Avengers: Endgame Encore: Marvel's Biggest Film Returns To Theatres With A Sneak Peek At Avengers: Doomsday
Seven years after it became the biggest opening in box office history, Avengers: Endgame is back on the big screen. Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame Encore opens in theatres from today, and it comes with a reason even repeat viewers will want to buy a ticket: an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday.
What Is Endgame Encore?
It is a special theatrical presentation of the 2019 film, which closed the Infinity Saga with the Avengers' final stand against Thanos. The re-release is playing in IMAX and in Infinity Vision, a new premium large-format certification. IMAX and Infinity Vision audiences also get an additional sneak peek.
The Doomsday Connection
The timing is no accident. Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, opens on December 18, 2026, and the Encore works as a lead-in, reminding audiences where the Avengers story left off before the next chapter. The Russos have spoken about how the re-release connects to the new film.
Why It Still Matters
When Endgame opened in April 2019, it took about $1.2 billion globally in its first weekend. In India, it became one of the biggest Hollywood releases ever, and the Cap-Iron Man-Thor final battle is still one of the most rewatched sequences in the franchise. Seeing it again with a crowd is a very different experience from watching it at home.
Marvel has confirmed US ticketing, but release plans for India and other markets have not been detailed, so check your local cinema listings.
