As ANK celebrates its 50th year, the theatre group proudly presents the premiere of its landmark production, Veera Rani Abbakka.
The play tells the story of Ullala's fearless queen, who defied Portuguese expansion, defended her sovereignty and emerged as one of India's earliest women warriors against colonial forces. Inspired by the vibrant tradition of Yakshagana, this powerful production brings to life a tale of courage, resistance, sacrifice and freedom.
