The announcement instead describes her as a cultural personality, social activist and former corporate leader with a two-decade banking career. All of that is accurate. She held senior positions at Axis Bank, she has worked on financial literacy and child welfare initiatives, and she is a classically trained vocalist with a real catalogue behind her, including Jai Gangaajal, the T-Series video Phir Se alongside Amitabh Bachchan, and more recently Shambhu Re and the Shivaji Maharaj tribute Naman Tula with Riteish Deshmukh.

Two things that are both true

The first is that Amruta Fadnavis has an independent professional record that predates her husband's current term and does not depend on it.
