Actor Akshay Oberoi is on a roll, both professionally and personally. Following a highly successful 2026, the talented actor recently celebrated a significant milestone in his life: the completion of his brand-new dream farmhouse in the scenic town of Karjat.
The stunning property, which has been under construction for a year and a half, stands as a testament to Akshay's dedication and vision. Far removed from the fast-paced energy of city life, the farmhouse was designed as a place where the actor and his family can slow down and gradually build personal memories.

Sharing his excitement about this achievement, Akshay said, “This farmhouse is more than just a property; it’s my sanctuary. A place where I can disconnect from the chaos of Mumbai and reconnect with myself and my family. The idea of having a home surrounded by nature has always been a dream. It’s soothing and gives me the perfect escape from my hectic schedule. Spending quality time with my wife and son here is truly priceless. It’s where I can relax, rejuvenate, and simply enjoy the little moments of life.”
An Evolving Home Designed for Connection
To bring their dreamy Karjat retreat to life, Akshay and his wife, Jyothi Vynatheya, entrusted interior designer and architect Nishita Kamdar with shaping the home's interiors. However, what makes the property truly distinctive is that the family is not treating it as a strictly finished design project. Instead, they are allowing the home to evolve and take shape organically over time. The interiors reflect the everyday interests of the Oberoi family, coming together in what has been described as "poetic chapters". Shelves around the house are slowly being filled with books, puzzles, and Akshay's personal vinyl collection. Adding a deeply personal touch, the home even features Lego sculptures created by Akshay and his son, Aviyaan, turning their family bonding time into a permanent part of the property’s décor.

Embracing Nature and Sustainable Living
Surrounded by quiet, expansive, and sleepy green views of the surrounding landscape, the residence features a defining open courtyard that allows the outdoors to become a seamless extension of the home. While the house itself is complete and acting as a haven for the family, landscaping work is still underway. Akshay, who is an avid gardener, has ambitious plans for the lush land surrounding the property. The actor hopes to introduce robust sustainable systems, including drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting. The land is also expected to be tilled to make way for mango and jackfruit trees. Envisioning the perfect, peaceful escape, Akshay also noted his desire to create a quiet spot beside a nearby stream, saying, “It would be nice to build a little bench to sit by the stream too”.
A Fruitful Journey
The family recently rang in Christmas and the New Year at the farmhouse, surrounded by close friends and family, officially marking the beginning of a new chapter in this beautiful retreat. Reflecting on his journey from Jersey to Mumbai, where he built his career and home, and now to this tranquil Karjat sanctuary, Akshay expressed profound gratitude. “I feel incredibly blessed. This farmhouse wouldn’t have been possible without the fruitful projects I’ve been a part of recently. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much I have to be thankful for.”

Among those fruitful projects is his recent appearance in the mega-budget pan-India film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, which features a massive ensemble cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, and Nayanthara. As his career continues to soar on the big screen, Akshay Oberoi has ensured he has the perfect, sustainable green haven to return to—one chapter, and one Lego brick, at a time.
