AJIO Luxe Wkend 2026: What 250 Brands, Runway Shows and Padel Courts at Jio World Garden Tell Us About Indian Luxury

Luxury used to be sold quietly, one appointment at a time. AJIO Luxe Wkend has spent several editions arguing the opposite: that the category is now best experienced in public, outdoors, with a cocktail in hand and a DJ in the background.

The 2026 edition, which runs at Jio World Garden from 13 to 15 November, makes that argument on a considerably larger scale than before.

The numbers

According to the ticket listing on District, the weekend will bring together more than 250 brands across 14 categories: fashion, beauty, art, home, design, watches, jewellery, automobiles and collectibles among them. For context, the January 2025 edition, billed as the event's fifth, was built around a little over 50 fashion and beauty brands, with names such as Sandro, Acne Studios and Ferrari drawing much of the attention.

The growth is not merely in volume. The categories have widened from what one wears to how one lives.

The curators

Two curatorial choices stand out.

  • Anaita Shroff Adajania and The Living Room Story are curating a dedicated section of homegrown labels, a notable decision at an event otherwise defined by global luxury houses.

  • Sussanne Khan is designing the home and design spaces.

Pairing international runway shows with a curated homegrown edit reflects a wider shift in Indian luxury spending, in which domestic labels are increasingly treated as peers rather than alternatives.

More festival than fashion week

The programme reads less like a trade show and more like a long weekend:

  • Runway shows from global luxury brands

  • Panel discussions

  • Padel court sessions and mahjong, two of the more fashionable pastimes of the moment

  • Private dining and food experiences

  • Takeovers by bars, Korean beauty brands, immersive art and car displays

  • Sundowners, cocktails and live performances in the evenings

The line-up

The music programme leans firmly towards electronic and dance:

  • Tech Panda & Kenzani

  • Sudan

  • Madboymink

  • Siiry

  • AminJaz

  • NAKE

  • OG SHEZ

  • GauriWho

The larger point

Events of this kind are, in effect, a bet on the experience economy: the idea that a growing group of Indian consumers will pay for access to a setting, not just a product. It is the same instinct we examined in our essay on why the future of marketing is analog. Whether AJIO Luxe Wkend's expanded format can hold the attention of a crowd that now has padel, mahjong and a runway competing for it will be the more interesting test.
