Fashion has always borrowed from art, history, and culture — but at the JD Design Awards 2026, it borrowed from something older than all three: crystals shaped by the Earth over millions of years.

Premium luxury brand Aadvik Crystals walked onto the runway in a collaboration that dissolved the usual boundaries between fashion, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Rather than styling crystals as jewellery or décor, the brand recast them as sculptural artworks — pieces that didn't accessorize the collection so much as become part of it.

Set against a couture line built around timeless love stories, raw natural formations — striking Pyrite Towers and Labradorite clusters among them — were carried down the runway as statement pieces, giving the show a visual language distinct from anything else on the schedule.

The partnership wove together Indian heritage and contemporary design, positioning natural crystals as objects that belong well outside the spaces they're usually confined to.

Behind the collaboration was The Charter, led by Founder Devarsh Saraf, working alongside Rinesh Dalal, Director at JD Institute of Fashion Technology — a pairing that brought creative talent, design education, and brand partnership together for JD Design Awards 2026.

"Luxury is most meaningful when it tells a story," said Tushar Rothe, Founder of Aadvik Crystals, reflecting on the night. "This collaboration allowed us to present crystals not as products, but as works of art that belong alongside great design. It was an opportunity to celebrate Indian heritage through a contemporary lens."

One of the evening's standout moments came when Tushar Rothe joined designers Harshita Gupta and Prachi Rawal, along with the show's showstopper, on the runway — a shared bow marking a collaboration built on creativity, craftsmanship, and a common vision.

The presentation didn't just turn heads — it took home the Best Brand Integration Award, recognizing how seamlessly the brand, the fashion, and the story came together on stage.

For Aadvik Crystals, the win is a marker of something bigger than a trophy. It's a signal of where the brand is headed: a future where natural crystals aren't confined to homes and personal collections, but find their place in fashion, architecture, hospitality, and design at large.

As luxury increasingly leans into authenticity and craft, collaborations like this one make the case plainly — the future of design belongs to disciplines that stop working in isolation.

Sometimes, the most remarkable creations aren't made. They're discovered.
