Friday, 13th Dec Morning: Asif Bhamla’s Event


The weekend began on Friday morning with an event hosted by Asif Bhamla at Apostolic Carmel School. Dr. Cheryl was felicitated alongside Bollywood stars Esha Deol and Ritesh Sidhwani. The event also featured Seema Singh, founder of the Megha Shrey Foundation, an organization dedicated to philanthropy for children. Seema’s efforts in supporting underprivileged kids were highlighted, showcasing how community leaders like her and Dr. Cheryl are working together to create positive change.



Friday 13th Dec Evening: Agnello Fernandes’ Mumbai Meri Jaan Foundation Event


On Friday evening, Dr. Cheryl facilitated a significant event organized by Agnello Fernandes of the Mumbai Meri Jaan Foundation, featuring Cardinal Oswald Gracias, one of India’s most prominent Catholic leaders and Indian cultural icons like the legendary Lorna - the nightingale of Goa and Compton Texaria composer of the famous song Pasquin. This event was a powerful symbol of unity, bridging the Catholic community and the governance of Bandra.





Saturday Evening: Bandra Gymkhana Christmas Bazaar



The weekend culminated with the Bandra Gymkhana Christmas Bazaar on Saturday evening, a festive celebration that brought together members of the Bandra community in joyous spirit.



At this event, Adv Shri Ashish Shelar a third-time MLA representing the Bandra H west Contituency was once again felicitated by Dr. Cheryl Misquitta for his contributions to the community and being given a cabinet position in the state government. In his speech, Ashish reiterated his commitment to the Bandra Gymkhana community, emphasizing that progress would include everyone and ensure their safety and well-being. His remarks underlined the strong relationship between governance and the community, a connection strengthened by Dr. Cheryl’s leadership.


Also honored at the Christmas Bazaar was Teresa Aguiar, a beloved member of Bandra Gymkhana and a representative of Pali Village. Her recognition highlighted the legacy of Bandra’s longstanding residents, whose contributions have shaped the unique identity of the suburb.
